China and Russia Rejects U.S. Gaza Plan, warn of Gaza-West Bank Division

Former President Donald Trump stated that he would personally lead the board, which he said would include influential global powers and leaders. The resolution, however, faced strong critisism from China and Russia, who emphasized that Gaza belongs to Palestinian people. Both countries expressed serious reservations over the U.S.-proposed Gaza peace plan in the UN Security Council, arguing that key issues regarding the role of Palestinians, transparency, and the mandate of the stabilization force were not adequately addressed. The Chinese ambassador said the resolution does not reflect the principles of Palestinian governance and that the United States failed to provide details about Stabilization Force and the Board of Peace. The Russian representative added that the proposal sidelines Palestinians from the decision-making process and warned that it risks further dividing Gaza and the West Bank. Meanwhile, the United Kingdom, France, South Korea, and Slovenia supported the plan, while Denmark emphasized that maintaining unity between Gaza and West Bank is essential
